Real estate: it's a term that means different things, all of them important, to different people. To some, it may be the primary source of their present income and livelihood.
To others, a substantial component of their long-term investment portfolio. To many families and individuals, it is a roof over their heads and a small plot of land: the comfort and security of the homestead, safeguarded by the Texas Constitution.

Since 1980, T.J. Lane has been a trusted source of sound counsel and legal representation in matters involving real property in Texas. He's experienced in all aspects of acquisition, ownership, development, management, and disposition.

Mr. Lane's family roots run deep in Texas. For more than a hundred years, the Lanes have demonstrated their commitment to, respect for, and love of the land. T.J. is a fourth-generation Texan. His father was a respected civic leader, real estate appraiser and broker; his grandfather a McKinney farmer, rancher, merchant, and innkeeper; and his great-grandfather a man who broke the sod and worked the soil of Collin County.

Mr. Lane graduated from McKinney High School (Class of 1973) and took his law degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. He and his wife, Christy, reside in the Historic District near his Downtown McKinney office. T.J.'s devotion to his hometown is evidenced by his years of service on the boards of various local community service organizations, including Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary, McKinney Historic Preservation Advisory Board, McKinney Christian Academy, and McKinney Community Development Corporation.

T.J. Lane's practice is built upon an unwavering commitment to his clients that their needs will be ascertained and attended to with diligence, creativity, and integrity. He's a Member and Paul Harris Fellow of McKinney's Downtown Rotary Club.
